Mia Cathcart

Mia Cathcart (b. 1993) is a contemporary painter and ceramicist whose work explores intimacy, perception, and the quiet tension embedded in everyday gestures. Working primarily with figurative imagery and still life, she isolates fragments of the body; hands, faces, or a torso with ordinary subjects; food, flowers and tableware. By cropping figures and scenes, she invites viewers into moments that feel both personal and ambiguous. 

We currently have on display at the Gallery a playful collection of hand-built ceramic vessels exploring movement, imperfection and storytelling.
